CIVCO Medical Solutions Introduces New Size for Latex-Free NeoGuard™ Transducer Covers
KALONA, IA, USA – CIVCO Medical Solutions is introducing a new 2 x 30cm size Latex-Free NeoGuard transducer cover. These covers are offered in both sterile and non-sterile configurations. NeoGuard, a rolled, latex-free material specially designed for ultrasound use, is recommended for patients and professionals with latex protein sensitivities.
The cover allows use of the transducer in scanning and needle guidance procedures for body surface, endocavity and intra-operative diagnostic ultrasound, while helping to prevent transfer of microorganisms, bodily fluids and particulate materials to the patient and health care worker during reuse of the transducer. NeoGuard covers are useful during drainage and biopsy procedures as well as general endocavity scanning procedures. These high-quality covers are available for popular endocavity transducers, and include elastic bands. Sterile gel packets are available separately.
